Active vs. Passive Dishonesty. Is there a difference?

The answer rests with the victim. For many there is a stark difference; for others the difference is as subtle as a pickpocket or a robber. One steals while you’re not looking, and the other wants you to know you’re being robbed!

In the final analysis, the question is less important to the victim who has been deprived of personal property. The moral: If you find yourself trying to justify a dishonest act, do what this individual did, simply cut out the middle and call it what it is…why lie?
