No. Unfortunately we cannot accept articles that have been submitted elsewhere on the web. However, after your article appears on SoldierCop you are free to submit it elsewhere and even link back to the unique URL where it will reside in SoldierCop.
Yes! If the product, service, course, etc., is of significant relevance to your military transition experience. We are very aware of the importance of being specific when describing trials and triumphs navigating the civilian workforce landscape, so where appropriate or necessary, such mentions are acceptable.
Sort of. We require you to authenticate who you are, but if you desire to submit your article under a “pen name” we will honor that. Obviously it is our preference to have our readers connect with real people, succeeding in real life, so we encourage transparency. The desire to use a pen name will not be discriminator for publishing.
This depends largely on the quantity of submissions received, as well as the quality of the article itself. Although every transition experience is unique, there are often common themes that emerge from this experience. As a result some article submissions will have very similar experiences, which may have already been published, and so may not be immediately re-published.
SoldierCop is a weekly publication with occasional special topic pieces that appear throughout the week. If your article is selected for publication you will notified immediately and given the approximate week when your article will appear.
You will be notified through the email you provided in your submission. Once your article is published, you will also receive an email with the permanent link to your article so you can share it with your network.
Soon! But not yet. Audio podcasts, video interviews, and related webinars are part of the future of SoldierCop. We recognize that not everyone accesses content in the same way or even at the same time, so we will be rolling out other site enhancements in the future.
