John Markovic, Acting Supervisory Social Science Analyst, U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services, recently shared information regarding the Evidence-Based Policing App on the International Association of Crime Analysts listserve.

This app is designed EBP Appto provide criminal justice, security, public safety professionals and community members involved in community safety with focused, relevant and point specific information for use in confronting, combating, and preventing crime and safety/security challenges.

Interested professionals click EBP App to learn more about the app, or download it for free at iTunes.  Learn more about the Police Foundation, who they are and what they do.

What I found most useful was the no-nonsense approach to information sharing. No fluff…just stuff!

I intend to integrate the app as a resource in my upcoming courses, and would recommend anyone teaching in Higher Ed or training in criminal justice, security, or public safety, download and browse the app for yourself. I believe you’ll find its utility refreshing.
